We are seeking a System Engineer who can support our customers in implementation of the HotLink technology. The System Engineering role is a critical and very visible role responsible for implementing proof of concept through production projects as well as delivering post-sales support.
Responsibilities
- Work with customer technical teams to implement and support HotLink solutions
- Respond to and resolve any customer technical issues
- Be domain expert for HotLink technology as well as one or more of the following virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware vSphere, Citrix XenServer, Red Hat KVM or MS Hyper-V)
- Provide technical inputs in all phases of the sales and deployment process
- Maintain deep technical knowledge of virtual platforms
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Product Management and Engineering
Requirements
- At least 3 years of administering one or more of the following virtual environments (VMware vSphere, Citrix XenServer, Red Hat VM or Microsoft Hyper-V)
- Hands on experience in providing technical support for virtualization products
- Working knowledge of server and network administration and operating systems
- Ability to effectively communicate with system administrators and IT managers
- Comfort when placed under technical scrutiny
- Experience with enterprise data center management solutions (e.g. Opsware/HP, Bladelogic/BMC, Tivoli/IBM, CA) is an advantage but not required
- Bachelors in technical discipline or equivalent preferred
