Outside Sales Representative
HotLink (www.hotlink.com), a well-funded venture-backed enterprise software start-up in Sunnyvale, CA, is on a mission to transform and dramatically simplify the management of heterogeneous data centers. The founders are successful serial entrepreneurs with a proven ability to bring highly innovative technologies to market and build successful companies from the ground up.
We are now expanding our direct sales team in Silicon Valley, and this is a solid opportunity to be a part of a unique company delivering leading edge technology to the IT industry. We offer an ideal environment for an aggressive direct sales hunter who wants large upside income potential and has a passion for new technology. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and is located in Sunnyvale, CA.
- Uncover and develop new sales opportunities
- Manage the sales process, from qualification through closing
- Articulate HotLink's ability to uniquely satisfy customer technical requirements
- Prepare business cases and communicate ROI to senior management
- Independently drive and close $50K to $1M deals in a highly competitive environment
- Work collaboratively with HotLink services team to ensure successful project implementation
- 3-10 years of high-ticket software sales to data centers (direct sales)
- Solid knowledge of virtualization software and data center environments
- Successful experience selling emerging technology
- Start-up experience in direct sales is a MUST
- Documented track record of exceeding quota
- BA or BS degree required
- Prior direct sales experience at any of these companies is a plus: VMware, Citrix, BladeLogic, Rightscale, Abiquo, vKernel, 3Leaf, PlateSpin, VEEAM, VMLogix, DynamicOps, Nimbula, Akimbi
- Salary and commission commensurate with experience
